Mykonos presents a very specific vacation dilemma: you want to be near the fun. You do not necessarily want the fun in your bedroom at 4:00 in the morning.
Fouquet’s Mykonos has found a rather clever middle ground.
Opened in June 2026, the hotel sits on the southern coast between Paraga and Paradise Beach, with Scorpios across the water, ROKA downstairs and a complimentary sea taxi connecting guests with some of the island’s most famous spots. Yet the hotel itself is built around private terraces, sea views, pools and little pockets of calm. Mykonos is right there. You just get to decide when to participate.
There are 60 rooms and suites plus three private villas, and I would choose the category carefully. This is a new hotel, so there is not yet a decade of conventional wisdom telling everyone which rooms are secretly wonderful and which merely photograph well.

The location may be the best reason to stay here
Fouquet’s sits between Paraga and Paradise Beach, about 15 minutes from the airport and very close to the part of Mykonos most people actually came to experience.
More importantly, the hotel runs a complimentary sea taxi roughly hourly from midday until around 10 p.m., with service to Scorpios and Nammos. I would always reconfirm the current schedule, but this is not a minor perk. Mykonos traffic in July is not where I want anyone having an existential crisis about their life choices. A boat is better.
You can go to Scorpios for the afternoon, come back when you have had enough, shower, sit beside your own pool and decide later whether you would like to rejoin society.
That is an excellent Mykonos setup.
The arrival is quieter than you expect for Mykonos, which is rather the point.
I would spend money on the outside of the room
The accommodations here are all about terraces, private pools and proximity to the water. In Mykonos, I would often rather have 355 square feet inside and a heated pool overlooking the Aegean than another 200 square feet of air conditioning.
The Paraga Room Private Pool is exactly that. It is relatively compact inside but comes with a substantial terrace and heated private pool. For many couples, I would compare this before automatically moving into a more expensive suite.
If you want more room, the Aegean Suite Private Pool has a separate living area and a larger pool overlooking Paraga Bay. The Panoramic Bungalow Suite is the splurge I find particularly interesting, sitting just above the water with a huge terrace facing sunset. This is for the person who comes back from lunch, changes into something white and does not leave the terrace until dinner becomes unavoidable.
The waterfront bungalows are another category I would look at closely. They feel less like traditional hotel rooms and more like very polished little beach houses, with private outdoor space and the sea just a few meters away.

Fouquet’s Mykonos is surprisingly useful for families
I would not book Fouquet’s because you want a resort built around a giant kids club. I would book it because the room configurations are unusually good, particularly for families with older children or teenagers.
The Two-Bedroom Aegean Suite sleeps four and has its own private pool. The larger Two-Bedroom Bungalow Suite also sleeps four, with two proper bedrooms and a terrace directly above the water. Everyone gets an actual bedroom. Nobody spends the week texting a teenager in an unrelated hotel room to find out whether they are awake. Vacation morale improves immediately.
For five or six guests, I would look at Rock Villa, which has three sea-view bedrooms and direct access to the water. Larger groups can move into Paradiso or Delos, each accommodating up to 14 guests. You can all stay together and, importantly, stop being together whenever necessary.
ROKA gives you two versions of Mykonos without leaving the hotel
This may be one of the smartest things about the property.
The main Fouquet’s pool beside Éole is the quiet one. ROKA sits down at the waterfront with its own infinity pool, Japanese restaurant and beach-club atmosphere. By early afternoon it becomes much more social.
So you do not have to choose a hotel based on one mood. One day can involve a book, lunch and absolutely no urgency. The next can involve ROKA, cocktails and remembering why people have been flying to Mykonos all these years.
The day after that can involve recovery.
The version of the day where you remember you came to Mykonos.
The spa is considerably more serious than expected
Rock Spa is carved into the stone and includes an indoor thermal pool, sauna, steam room, cryotherapy and treatments using brands including Dr. Barbara Sturm. There is also a large Technogym fitness center, a separate yoga and Pilates Reformer studio and an NBA-standard basketball half court.
Basketball and cryotherapy were not the first things I pictured when I thought about Mykonos either, but I am willing to be flexible.
ROKA has taken over the beachfront, with its own infinity pool and loungers at the water.
Éole
Éole is the all-day Greek-Mediterranean restaurant beside the main pool.
Breakfast begins with mezze, Greek cheeses, cured meats, breads and pastries, followed by a broader à la carte menu. Lunch and dinner move into Mykonian salads, seafood and Greek specialties.
This is the restaurant I would expect to use most naturally during the stay.
ROKA may be the one everyone posts.
Éole is the one where you suddenly realize you have been sitting for two hours eating lunch and nobody has suggested moving.
Which is usually a sign of a very good vacation.
The bar is actually fun
Le Bar is built around cocktails inspired by the different Fouquet’s destinations.
There is a Paris cocktail.
A Courchevel cocktail.
One assumes New York is not served with a side of scaffolding.
The menu also includes Aegean mezze, mini lobster rolls and truffle pizzettas, and the terrace overlooks Paraga.
It is open from late morning through the evening, so it works equally well for a pre-dinner drink or the inevitable “we are not actually hungry enough for dinner anymore” situation.
Fouquet’s Mykonos or Four Seasons Mykonos?
I would send different travelers to each.
Fouquet’s is for someone who wants Paraga, Paradise, Scorpios, ROKA and the social side of Mykonos within very easy reach, but still wants a beautiful private place to retreat to.
Four Seasons Hotel Mykonos sits on the quieter Kalo Livadi side of the island. I would lean that way for someone who wants Mykonos without much interest in being close to its party scene.
The easiest shorthand is this: if you tell me, “We want Mykonos, but not too much Mykonos,” I am probably looking at Four Seasons. If you tell me, “We absolutely want the fun, we just do not want to sleep in it,” Fouquet’s becomes very interesting.
Who I would book Fouquet’s Mykonos for
I particularly like it for couples and honeymooners who want a private pool and nightlife, families with teenagers, groups of friends and two families who can make use of one of the villas. It is also excellent for someone who has already realized that “we’ll just get taxis everywhere” is not actually a Mykonos transportation plan.
I would look elsewhere for very young families wanting extensive supervised children’s programming, anyone seeking complete tranquility, or travelers whose priority is walking into Mykonos Town every night.
How long would I stay?
Three or four nights is about right for most couples. I would stretch to four or five if you have a private pool or villa and actually intend to enjoy it. For families, four nights usually works beautifully.
Mykonos is remarkably efficient at making three days feel like seven.
